Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park from Kigali, travel time +2hrs
Today, after a relaxed morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by our safari guide to start 3 Days Akagera National Park Wildlife Safari. The journey to the park takes approximately 2.5 hours, depending on stopovers along the way. As you travel through Rwanda’s stunning, winding landscapes, feel free to ask the guide to stop for photography Upon arrival at the park, you will enjoy a short game drive before proceeding to your accommodation for check-in. After settling in, you will have lunch before heading out for a boat trip on Lake Ihema. Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast at 6:00 AM, you will depart for a morning game drive in Akagera National Park to catch a glimpse of late-night hunters and early risers. During the drive, you will search for large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and various antelope species, as well as the recently reintroduced lions and rhinos. Akagera National Park boasts diverse habitats that support a wide range of wildlife and over 500 bird species, making it a true birding paradise After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
